Our Background

Oxide Creative Support (OCS), formerly known as One Little Man Ltd (2000-05), has established a background of working with large blue chip companies, financial institutions, government bodies, public sector agencies, charity and non-profit organisations, musical artists, photographers, independent small businesses and other full service marketing and communication establishments, both in the UK and abroad.

Who We Are

OCS was founded in 2006 as the commercial portal for Liam Kelly BA (Hons), a Human Geography/Political Science graduate of John Moores University, Liverpool (1996), with over 13 years commercial design & presentation experience. His specialities revolve around print and presentation graphics, template design, cross-platform integration, image retouching, branding, product photography, software and SOP training, and Mac hardware and software support. Liam is passionate about many aspects of design, form and projection, leaning heavily towards sustainable and low-to-zero impact practices, ethical representation, and forward thinking commercial output.

The Oxide studio now has a small core in-house design team. In addition to this, we utilise our reliable freelance network to bring in the appropriate skills on a per project basis. This enables us to scale up quickly and ensures that all projects have the correct, bespoke team in order to deliver the project, and to fulfill all of the requirements and needs of our clients.

Our Vision

The creative industries, such as print, press, broadcast media, web and multimedia, music, theatre and film, play a huge role in 21st century economies, both as stand alone entities, and supporting other non-creative sectors of industry. We live in unprecedented times. Humanity has reached a tipping point; there is no going back, but we do still have choices about how we go forward.

The 20th century brought about rapid social and economic development, consumerism on an unwieldy scale, globalisation with no boundaries and little in the way of global awareness. The 21st century is turning out to be even more complex, both economically and socially, with greater growth based industry, and even more of a need to change the way we do business.

At Oxide Creative Support we are aiming to bring support to those in need of our skills, experience, no-nonsense work ethic, and a greener, cleaner and definitely more earth & people friendly way to do business. Our clients are changing, their needs are changing, and ultimately so must we as a business. This is why Oxide Creative Support is moving towards Carbon Neutrality, Eco-Friendly Printing Practices, Recycled Waste and Print Management, Ethical Investment, and an overall more socially and environmentally responsible business practice. We want to work with like-minded clients, with similar understandings, similar goals and similar practices, yet still provide 'alternative' 21st century creative support to those sectors and leaders of industry, who traditionally have followed a more rooted path towards their goals, yet want to make a conscious change of practice.

Simply put, our vision is to change your creative output through our support, and to prove it can be done another way. The days of wasted travel, the so-called paper-less office that never happened, the office that never sleeps electrically, investment in corruption, destruction and misery, and even just a lack of moral business backbone, are on their way out. Yes it is true that 'Greenwashing', or 'Popularity Bandwagoning' are upon us too, but without them, a move to a more sustainable business model for the creative sector, like all business sectors, would still be loitering in the realms of tree-hugging, yogurt weaving and crystal therapies; never being heard, never being taken seriously and ultimately never making change.

What We Do

Oxide Creative Support is a new way of providing help to the creative industries, and the commercial/non-profit sectors. Whether it’s publishing, design, marketing, television, theatre, charities, small independent retailers or financial institutions, OCS has a solution for your creative needs. We work with both the Client - those looking for the solution; and/or the Service Provider - solution providers to the clients. Clients need solutions. Service Providers need help with providing solutions for their Client’s needs.

Sometimes you just need simple and cost effective design solutions. Others require a presentation or document conversion. How about your finance team’s web presence produced photographically. A re-brand or some report creation. Maybe even a royalty free simple music track to be attached to your company or organisation’s website or interactive media.

As a Client your choices are:

do the work yourself, wasting valuable business time, when you should be focusing on what you do best - your business!, or…
outsource to a traditional agency who has a narrow skill set, expertly focused around their own specialised field - with budget demands to go with it!

As a Service Provider your choices are:

attempt to conduct the work yourself, but not quite deliver, as your extensive background is focused elsewhere!
outsource to a freelancer or through a temp agency - they may be able to do the work, who knows these days!

OCS can help in either circumstance, by either taking the work load off the individual, or by providing support to the larger organisation in areas where you need that little more help, or just lack the time to focus on non-essential skill sets. The Client saves time to work on their ’stuff’, and Service Providers save time by focusing on their ’stuff’.

So simply put - OCS helps the customer (Client) and/or those helping the customer (Service Provider). No fuss, no waffle, just simple solutions, honestly priced and expertly carried out, leaving you to get on with the nitty gritty.
